joe keery, otherwise known as djo is a chicago native. I got into joe keery after a flight from vegas to chicago. most if not all flights i take i kind of raw dog. im super tall, and a giant in most places and i can never get comfrotable. so i kind of just endure whatever number of hours i need to make it to where ever i need to go. Im also not connecting to or paying for wifi on a plane lol.
so whatever, im in the middle seat, didnt get to pick my ticket, im on a red eye from vegas to chicago, and the guy sitting kitty corner to me, is watching a movie. naturally im now watching the move too. hes got his ipad up on the back side of the headrest infront of him, and whatever movie it is, its some awful B movie where theres like deer fucking exploding into mucus like guts everywhere and then the main characters are like fucking running around helpless.
obviously the second the plane touched down i ran to google and started searching for deer exploding zombie movie and i get Cold Storage. I get in the car and start talking to my partner about the experience and how i want to watch this movie, not even knowing who the hell is joe keery, and we turn on the radio and End of Beginning by Djo starts playing. My girl goes oh i wanna see Djo live so bad or something like that and ive never heard of this shmuck before in my life right? So obviously they look him up, and bam, its the fucking guy in Cold Storage.
We basically got home and i did a DEEP DIVE on joe keery. Holy shit i fucking love this guy. hes in stranger things, which i dont really care for. But hes also in a psychadelic rock band??? and he is in nothing but great B movies. So i went out and go all of his movies and decided to do a movie marathon. For the first marathon, i invited a bunch of friends over to watch Joe Keery in Cold Storage + Spree. Everyone who came over for the movie, i gave out a mini photo of joe keery to take home. Along with that the rest of them i passed out as emotional support joe keereys at work.

Cold Storage
Banger plane movie. Kind of classic / predictable character tropes, and all of the budget went to deer / animals exploding and the last 5 minutes of the movie. Would recommend.
Spree
Serial killer with morals? and definetly not a racist white supremacist prick. Hard watch, but okay. Reminds me of the uber shooting in kalamazoo a little bit
